Brain Health:

Podcast: Brain Warrior’s Way

Food: organic and non-gmo as much as you can, especially anything with corn or soybeans or anything fed corn or soybeans.
Vitamins: check your levels, especially vitamin d.
Supplements: if your levels are low, look in to high quality organic and non-gmo products
My experience has shown me how critical this is, but it took me over 2 years to improve and stabilize.

Daily Journal:
I developed my own journal prompt.  It is based on Chakras based on my interpretation. I write in these colors.
7 Crown:  Prayers
6 Third Eye: Somethin I Learned
5 Throat: Laughter and Using your Voice in a positive way
4 Heart: Gratitudes and Joy (happens without your direct action)
3 Solar Plexus: Accomplishment
2 Sacral: Exercise, Movement, Good Food
1 Root: Daily Intention

Gremlin: I write my worries, fears, heavy feelings in his tummy.  I draw him in brown and highlight in light green
HOPE: I talk to myself as if I were talking to a friend to try to help myself see it in a more positive way, or options to address my Gremlin.  I write this in pink and highlight with yellow.  I mimic a sun and rays.

Daily monitoring:
Sleep: time/hours I slept.  I have a long history of poor sleep patterns.
Weight: taken first thing in the morning.  I have an ideal weight so I want to monitor where I am.
Mood: “+”/ “-“ (positive or negative)
Energy: “L”, “M”, “H” (Low, Medium, or High).  I want to be Medium.  Low means I’m not feeling healthy.  High means I’m outta wack.
Brain: “C”, “F” (Clear or Foggy).

Dream Journal
Whenever I have a dream that haunts me in the morning or throughout the day, I record it in a dream journal that is actually an art journal.  Crisp, heavy blank white pages.  I use colored pencils, sharpies, crayola markers.  Sometimes I draw, sometimes I write the details out, sometimes both.

Why?  Something in my brain happens during this process.  I usually have a new understanding of the dream in connection with my life.  I really enjoy the process.

Crystal Card Journal
Every once in a while, I pull cards from the Crystal Ally Cards.  I record my layout and experience in a lined paper journal.  It is my effort to slowly study crystals.  I have found that after I have recorded the details of the layout and what each card that I typically have a visual representation of what I’ve learned.  So, then I draw that out as well.  Please note, I’m NOT an “artist” but the PROCESS of learning slowly, recording the information in my way, and then drawing it out has become very powerful for my brain and how I process new everyday, normal experiences.  It deepens the learning and helps rewire my brain to react more positively and not go down the fear-doom rabbit hole.

Vision of My Life
Each year I complete the same exercise to check in with my life, choose my priorities, point myself in a direction, and filter out noise.  Here are the elements:
Who am I? Who do I want to be?
What are the most important (6 is the max) areas of my life, what things to I want to achieve or experience, what are some smaller steps I need to take to make these things come true?
What helps me, what makes it harder?
What are my core values?
1 or 2 personal and professional goals.
And I have an on-going bucket list that I peck away at.

What languages do you speak?
I grew up with English.
I have a BA in French, and am fluent and literate, with a near-native accent.
I have studied first year Latin and Italian, therefore have some comprehension of Spanish, Romanian and Portuguese.
I have lived in the Caribbean and have exposure to French Créole.
I have had exposure to German and Swiss German.
I studied Mandarin Chinese with a private tutor for a short time.
I can recognize some written languages but do not undertsand: Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Arabic, and Russian.
